[14:07] PhantomCarousel: Ooooh, my 80's station is playing Little China Girl.
[14:08] wolfgangtlouey: sweet
[14:09] PhantomCarousel: David Bowie always makes me happy.
[14:09] PhantomCarousel: Seeing him live... Fwoosh.
[14:09] PhantomCarousel: He pwns the stage. The man is in his mid-50's and he's knockin' em dead.

Not much to say, but the other day I felt all this pent up frustration and let it all out on my Deviant Art gallery. Much to my surprise, I got sympathy instead of people telling me to STFU. Yeah, it's nice to be surrounded by other artists sometimes.

Funny how David Bowie finds his way back into my daily to-do's every time I don't expect it. I think "I don't need it anymore. I heard it all." Then it just springs up like "We were kids together, remember me? Do you still think of me?" And yes, yes I do. It's not bitter, it's not something I attach all the wrongs in the world to. I should've learned a long time ago that you don't have to be a raving fangirl to appreciate somebody. You don't have to have all the bootlegs, know all the right people, and schmooze with all the right schmoozers.

I saw him from five chairs away and he's a real person, he's not a glossy photograph slathered in this aura of plastic and bright lights. I like him better as a real person. Does he think of me? Ha ha! Probably not and can you expect a person who performs to a stage full of thousands of people to remember that one kid in the crowd? Not likely.

But anyway... sometimes when I feel my art's going nowhere, now there's people to say "Suck it up and keep going, you whiner." That's refreshing.
