On Civilization IV...
I can't stop listening to the opening theme of Sid Meier's "Cilivization IV". It's beautiful! It reminds me of of that song "Chorale" or something like that. I wouldn't doubt if the same composer did this theme or if it was inspired by it. I've been listening to it on loop since I bought the game this weekend. Well, not continuously -since- but... you get the idea. It's gorgeous.

I heard that some thought the game felt rushed, but as a non-hardcore player of the Civ games I think it's perfect. The only things that still get me are the lack of being able to swing the view around on the maps, but I suspect that's bells and whistles and I'm not all too familiar with how the new configurations and settings are placed.

I kinda miss the advisors having personalities that have little costumes as you reach a new age, especially the technological advisor. But our NEW advisor is Sid himself, I found myself going "Hi, Sid!" as the tutorial opened up. The controls are remarkably intact, I just wasn't enough of a good player to really get a hold of it.

My scale on world domination? It compared me to "Dan Quayle"... *weeps into hands* Thing is, the cultural domination didn't work like I thought it would. I don't know whether it was changed to accomodate new features or the mechanics were shifted or that it's completely intact and I haven't played the game well enough since II and III. Ah ha ha, I suck!

Guild Wars...
With the factions preparations underway, it leaves me with some questions I have yet to see confirmed or denied. I'll have to do some more looking up later.

- "Will we get new character slots?" This is kind of a big thing for me, I've got two experimental characters that I want to get to Lvl 20 before I say "Screw it, I want to make a Ritualist or an Assassin."

- "Will the new classes also be available for RP campaigns?" I'd really like to see this happen, PvP isn't a primary thing for me. I really like the fact that this game is BOTH PvP and PvE.

- "I wanna see the new weapon designs! D:" There's no practical reasoning behind this one, I've been waiting to see these since the original contest was posted.
