12/08/2004 Archived Entry: "What's going on today..."

Middle of the week, I feel so... bleh. Work is alright, lots of stuff to do so I won't go bored.

I tried working on my mother-in-law's website yesterday, but kinda got frustrated after fiddling with the design for an hour. I think I need to simplify it and -then- add the graphics in. I'll try again when I get home.

As for the ultrasound, we went in at 8:30am and had my entire abdomen scanned and the results sent to the doctor. So I won't know anything until I get a phone call from the doctor's office. I haven't even met the doctor these scans are going to. All I know is his name and the address to his office.

In Ragnarok Online news...
Yesterday, I sent my new Thief out to steal and fight Megladons for the "stinky fish scales" you need to make the new Blue Fish hat. It's headgear that's basically a big blue fish that sits on your head. Only thing is, you have to be base level 50 to wear it so I'm going to have to wait until I can equip it on my Thief.

My poor Alchemist, I really need to level her up to base 68 like my old Alchemist was. That way I'd have better success in making potions again. My new Alchy's been having difficulties since her "Potion Creation" skill is only at 7. She needs 3 more skill points to achieve mastery and I need to get her other skills take care of, too. I know I've got her skill list printed out somewhere. I'll probably take her out to kill Savages with her fire property axe, they don't require a lot of potions and their drops sell for a good price. With this build, she's got more Agility than my old Alchy ever did. So she attacks quickly even with her heavy axe. Typically the STR/VIT characters pack a punch but are way too slow, I want to kind of defy that with this new build. As an Alchemist, you need INT and DEX to help ensure the success rate of potion creation, so I have to put points in there, too. At this point in her build she's at an awkward stage.

I could've leveled this new Alchemist much, much faster if they hadn't messed up the first level of Geffen Tower dungeon. It's now so packed with dangerous monsters that there's hardly anyone that goes into it. I don't think I've ever seen a guild go into it, it seems now like a waste of good dungeon maps. These days, people only go to Geffen for the Mage, Wizard, or Blacksmith tests and if they're on their way to Al de Baron or Glastheim. *sigh* It used to be fun to go into Geffen dungeon, I don't know why they changed it. If I knew the reasoning, maybe I wouldn't be so upset over it. My only -guess- is to make some higher level monsters more accessible, but higher level characters don't waste their efforts in Geffen. At that point, it's better experience to go to Glastheim. It was the Mages who benefitted most from Geffen dungeon.
