I've got the pattern idea for my Starluck 'taur plushy all drawn out, now it's a matter of determining what a good size should be and then printing out a pattern.
I put up a poll on which character to first make a plushy of and and first it was a tie between my persona and Little Bunny Voodoo (our Straitjacketeers.com mascot) but now it looks like Evil and S-D are taking the lead! Trippy, who'd've thought S-D would be that popular? LoL! The Evil and S-D dolls would be considerably easier to make than the Starluck one since they only have four limbs and one color beside their flesh tones. S-D is black with ashy cream, Evil is pink with peach. I'll have to go to Hancock fabrics and Hobby Lobby to get the supplies I need, though I still don't know what kind of fabric is best for soft sculpture. I want them to be sturdy enough so that they won't fall apart if they're handled as soft toys should be (like squished before bed, flopped around on sofas, etc.). I like making things that were meant to be played with. T-shirt cotton stretches too much, maybe standard tight weave cotton would be best and I know for certain Hancock Fabrics has that. I may have to go to Hobby Lobby for the matching yarn for their hair, I know they carry lots of knitting yarns.
Anywho, that's what I'll be doing today! Planning out my patterns! :3
